Our Testing Protocol
Every batch goes through the same rigorous panel. No shortcuts. No “we’ll test the next one.”
HPLC Purity Analysis
High-Performance Liquid Chromatography is the gold standard for peptide purity verification. It separates and quantifies the components in each sample, giving us a precise purity percentage. We hold all products to a minimum 98% purity threshold. If a batch doesn’t meet it, it doesn’t ship.
Mass Spectrometry (MS)
Purity alone isn’t enough. You also need to know the product actually is what it claims to be. Mass spectrometry confirms molecular identity by measuring the mass-to-charge ratio of the compound. It’s how we verify that what’s on the label is what’s in the vial. Every time.
Endotoxin Testing (LAL)
Bacterial endotoxins are invisible, odorless, and potentially dangerous in research settings. The Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) assay detects even trace levels of endotoxin contamination. A lot of vendors skip this test entirely. We consider it non-negotiable.
We Test More Than One Vial
Here’s something most companies won’t tell you: testing a single vial from a batch of 500 doesn’t actually tell you much about the other 499. That’s why we pull multiple vials from each production batch for independent testing.
It’s more expensive. It takes more time. But it gives us (and you) real confidence that the results on the COA represent the entire batch, not just the one sample that happened to look good.
This is one of those details that separates “we care about quality” from actually caring about quality.
Independent. US-Based. Accredited.
We don’t test our own products. That would defeat the entire purpose.
Our testing partner is an ISO 17025-accredited US laboratory that specializes in pharmaceutical and peptide analysis. They have no financial relationship with our suppliers, no incentive to fudge numbers, and no reason to do anything other than report what they find.
That separation matters. When a COA comes from the same company selling you the product, you’re basically reading a self-written report card. We wanted better than that, so we built the process around true independence from day one.
Supplier Qualification
Quality doesn’t start in the testing lab. It starts with who makes the product in the first place.
We vet our manufacturing partners before bringing on any new product line. That means reviewing their production capabilities, requesting documentation, and then independently verifying the results with our own testing. If a supplier’s product can’t consistently pass our panel, we don’t carry it. Simple as that.
We’d rather have fewer products done right than a bigger catalog full of question marks.
